Recipe: The BBB-LT (Black Bean Burger - Lettuce, Tomato)

This recipe features a delicious and nutritious vegan black bean burger recipe that has a bit of history. Fasting Escape used to be in-person in a house in Southern California. It was a small program and so besides supervising patients who were water-only fasting or on a modified fast, I would often prepare meals for the non-fasters. These black bean burgers were a favorite and not just for the patients. It was my favorite, too, because of how easy and quick it was to prepare (especially if I had already made beans & rice earlier). Try these next time you have a chance and let me know how you like them. They go great by themselves or you can wrap them in lettuce. They are very flavorful especially after a long enough fast since your taste buds get more sensitive after fasting. Enjoy!

They also go great with Dillon's Well Your World BBQ sauce

These burgers were straight forward to make and, more importantly, they were DELICIOUS. If you decide to make them, let me know how they turn out. You can reply here or tag Fasting Escape on social media @FastingEscape with your pictures.
